Michael grew up in southern Maine spending a few years on the street or in a tent before moving to Old Orchard Beach during his Sophomore year of high school. He worked full time while going to school and participating in track & field and cross country. After a few years in foster care he was adopted, graduated from high school ,and joined the U.S. Army, moving around the county in duty assignments.
He spent almost 10 years working for the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs. In 2015 he moved back to Maine and returned to school, graduating from York County Community College as student of the year in 2019 with a degree in Behavioral Health. He was employed by Seeds of Hope first as the Overnight Warming Center staff person and joined the regular staff in 2020. He enjoys doing what he can to help those in the community and making a difference in someone’s life.
